Membership Details

Any woman 18 years or older may join The National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) by documenting her lineage to an ancestor, either male or female, who aided the cause of American independence through military, civil or patriotic service.

​

A DAR member is an individual who…

  • cares about fostering good citizenship

  • wants to honor their ancestors

  • is devoted to educating our youth

  • wants to preserve our past for future generations


Many enjoy...

  • learning about American history

  • researching genealogy

  • coordinating local community service projects

  • sharing in family DAR traditions

  • participating in commemorative events

We invite you to visit our chapter and meet us! Contact our Rockcastle Chapter, NSDAR, Registrar, to get assistance and guidance for the application process.

​

Steps to becoming a member include:

• tracing your family lineage

• identifying your Patriot ancestor

• locating a DAR chapter

• completing the application process

​

Go to the National DAR website and complete the "Pedigree Chart". You can bring it with you when you meet with the chapter representative.
